                                                                                                                                                Council Center for Senior Citizens

                                                                                                                                                Council Center for Senior Citizens is a community based organization whose goal is to help meet the social, educational and nutritional needs of adults 60 years of age or older.  They provide services to older adults in the community in an effort to empower them so that they may lead richer, more meaningful and independent lives.

                                                                                                                                                Council Center for Senior Citizens first opened its doors in 1958 and has continued to embrace the senior population and offer excellence in service and programming for over fifty years. Sponsored by National Council of Jewish Women, Brooklyn Section, and funded by the NYC Department for the Aging, Council Center is housed in a modern, five-story building that is fully accessible to people with limited mobility or special needs. 

                                                                                                                                                Council Center recognizes and respects the value of older adults and strives to foster the wellness, creativity, intellectual stimulation, social interaction and volunteer opportunities. It prides itself on its diversity and caring and welcomes members of all nationalities, cultures, backgrounds and faiths.  It is a place where both baby boomers and more well seasoned seniors feel equally at home and find activities that spark their individual interests and meet their varying needs. Council Center provides kosher lunches each day at noon.  All food is prepared on the premises and served in their spacious dining room.

                                                                                                                                                This Senior Center currently has one digital screen in their main entrance and waiting area.  it is currently accepting JPEG files that are 1366 x 768.

It now displays PSAs to help educate the center's participants and staff about programs and services that they can take advantage of!
